Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I rented this movie mostly because of the eclectic cast. It is a real indie darling. It is fun and clever and the jokes between the ensemble cast, especially the male characters, had me laughing out loud. This film is speaks to the love lives of young couples living in NYC, trying to stay committed and dealing with the many problems that relationships entail. Many of the situations are easy to relate to, but this film isn't your typical sex comedy. There are many twists and turns down the couple's road to seeking love and it can get nasty, but it's always interesting. The ensemble cast is fantastic! It's nice to see John Stamos again, especially in a role I've never seen him play.

Knots was a unique and creative movie. I thought Paula was awesome and the characters charming. It was a pleasure to just sit back and enjoy a real movie. It has been along time since I have smiled and felt good about a piece of this caliber. The light romantic way it was portrayed was a delight to see. Sometimes simplicity offers so much more. Keep it up.It was beautifully filmed and allowed you to really get to know the characters. I've told all my friends to go out and rent it...they won't be sorry. The Director captured the emotions and reality of the characters...looking forward seeing more of his movies.

This was a wonderful movie, capturing the bitter sweet comedy of human relationships at a very personal scale. Smart and edgy, with real characters and a classic well told story of friends and marriage. The movie captures the New York mood and the interaction of young friends as they confront the stresses of relationships and the unexpected twists and turns of growing up. The film is beautifully directed to bring out the best of the wonderful cast, while maintaining a natural look and feel, allowing the clever humor to carry the viewer through a variety of stresses in love and friendships. I highly recommend this film to anyone interested in humor and personal interaction--in short to everyone.

"Knots" a predictable sex comedy from director of no note, Greg Lombardo. It is short on both sex and comedy, but is almost worth watching because A) John Stamos is actually good in it. B) You get to see Ric Ocasek's hot, Czech wife naked and C) Tara Reid surprisingly doesn't suck in it. The down side? The sex is totally tame and it's really not very funny. The rest of the cast is serviceable. Scott Cohen (from The Gilmore Girls) and Annabeth Gish (from The West Wing) play are bored married couple and Paulina Porizkova plays a vixen that reaps hell into their lives for no good reason at all, but ultimately we don't really care about any of the characters as the screenplay limps to it's obvious, group hug conclusion. "For No Good Reason At All". That would have been a good tag line for "Knots". You have been warned.
