It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Before i start off i thought that this movie was very well done i will never understand how this movie didn't make it to theatresThis Movie was about a Con man Ben(Sean William Scott) He has put together a crew of specialists Rikki (Timm Sharp) Ben's good friend, Betty (Suzy Nakamura) a level headed computer Cracker, Jake (Jon Crye) A rough around the edges Demolitions expert, and Jeffrey (Patric Breen) An superstitious safe cracker that suffers from Seizures. Ben is given this Job By Gregory (Lou Diamond Phillips) a crime boss that Has Ben under his Thumb. The Catch with this movie is they have to break into a bank that is located to a popular after hours Dance Club to steal a Chineese Statue that is of great importance To Gregory. Ben plans to cover up his Heist with a Wild Rave Headed by a Less than Stellar DJ (Jody Rasicot). But the Heist is sniffed out By the local Chinese Triad tough guy Jin Sun (Terry Chen) and Ben is Held over a BarrelAs contrived and Mindless as this plot sounds this Movie is actually very well written and the Atmosphere plays a vital part in the story. Usually a movie like this is very Gimmicky it uses the party and Gross out Jokes to make up for Bad writing and direction, this movie dose't succumb to such cheap tricks. Also Sean William Scott Makes a Departure from his Stifler Character he usually Plays; Ben is quite the contrast to Stifler. Ben is a guy that has a lot on his mind not everything works out the way it should unlike Stifler who solves his problems with a smile. While Stifler has a very Devil May Care Attitude Ben is a very serious guy. Another Great part of this movie is the supporting cast Ben's Crew especially the computer expert Betty are very well acted. Also this movie has very great Villains Gregory (Played By Phillips) is a very great villain i personally think that Phillips is a very underrated actor. Also Jin Sun is great at moving the story along and putting more pressure on the already busy Ben. Unlike other "Party" movies that are more carefree You can feel the pressure that Ben is under. Also many problems arise in the form of a Club Going FBI agent (Played by Dave Foley), A Chinese Food delivery boy, and transvestite dancers that are in danger of short circuiting the whole party. A Strong part of this Movie is that it is also it's tight directing Daywalt And Schneider do a very good job of keeping up the pace of the movie. All in all i was very entertained by this movie and I hope to see Sean William Scott in more roles like this

Stark Raving Mad is exactly that! One of those movies where you check your brains at the door and just go along for the ride - and what a fun, breakneck ride it is. Seann William Scott has made a reputation for goofy performances - but this isn't one of them. And much to the better. What happened to the distribution of this movie is anyone's guess, although it sounds like some dumb studio exec simply didn't see it. A convoluted story about a break-in into a bank vault that is masked by the deafening music of an ongoing disco rave. Diverse characters with multiple story lines constantly threaten to derail the progress of the break-in, much to the viewer's delight. Funny, funny, funny. This has got to be the best performance from Seann William Scott, with his occasional asides to the audience regarding his personal philosophy on life. The story is constantly on the move, with a great, pounding soundtrack, unpredictable laugh-out-loud twists and an edgy cutting style that pitches you forward all the time. Kudos to everyone involved in the making of this movie! Sit back and enjoy!

... Probably that guy from MEMENTO who had an attention span of sixty seconds or someone who thinks MTV is one of the movie channels ! STARK RAVING MAD starts with a sequence of a guy in the African veldt who gives the middle finger to a lion . No doubt this film takes its title from this scene because it has absolutely nothing to do with the movie which feels like it was directed by a cocaine cartel . After a bizarre title sequence featuring wild animals the film turns into a heist thriller that blatantly rips off the style of Guy Ritchie I've no idea how STARK RAVING MAD got such a high average rating because I found it entirely irritating with its jarring jump cuts and its totally unconvincing characters who try to come across as cool but end up being totally unrealistic . A lot of people on this page have mentioned that Seann William Scott is their favourite actor which makes me wonder if the only films they have seen are Scott's home movie collection but seeing as Lou Diamond Phillips is in it then Scott is assured of only giving the second worst performance Before everyone hits the no button on the " was this review helpful to you ? " let me add that if you're a mainstream audience film fan then it won't appeal to you . Likewise if you like movies where the cast can go five seconds without using the F word then you probably won't want to watch this either . The fact that two people are credited with both writing and directing STARK RAVING MAD should tell you a lot about it

6.9? 6.-blanking-9 for this garbage? I rented this last night and it was SOOOOO bad, I had to make an entry. It's not the acting. There are some talented folks in here. (Scott, Foley, Arkin aren't bad. Phillips is, well, Phillips.) It MIGHT be the editing, which about threw ME into an epileptic fit.No, it's the script! Who could have read this and said, "Wow what a great concept. Let's do a heist movie against the backdrop of a (non-alcoholic, non-drugged out) Rave?" Oh, oh, and I know, let's use a funny Canadian guy as an FBI agent, and let's NOT hide his accent at all. (You know what I'm talking aboot, don't you?) And how did these guys set up a bust at an after-hours thing that normally would never have happened? Should have ICED the pizza guy.ONLY way this movie should be watch is apparently on X so you can appreciate the cuts and lighting effect.Sorry, Seann, try again.
