Matthew, a college freshman, meets his dream girl in a dorm elevator during a blackout. He never sees her face, but instantly falls in love. In the morning, the power is restored, but the "dream girl" has vanished. All Matthew knows is that she lives in an all-girls dorm. He sets out on a semester-long journey to find his mystery girl among a hundred female suspects. Could it be Wendy? Dora? Arlene? Patty? Cynthia? Or the 95 other girls, any of whom could have been in that elevator with Matthew.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

When I first saw this movie around the year 2000 both my IQ and my age were the same single-digit number which probably explains why I remembered it as a decent yet unfunny movie. Watching it as an adult... I realise it's terrible, and unfunny. It's just a guy's beta male monologue over and over about how girls are the greatest thing ever etc etc sprinkled with alot of white knighting and belittling of men. It's the most generic and lazy, flat beta male writer's chick flick movie. There's plenty of those out there but this one is as flat as they can get.Avoid at all costs, everyone involved in this movie should've been doing their best to remove their names from it's IMDb page, especially Jaime Pressly who went on to be in some actually funny movies. With a braindead lead character, a terrible mix of gross female worshipping yet also cheap sexual exploitation, ultra slow pacing and only one funny scene with nipple twisting which doesn't hold up in 2018, this isn't a good movie to see now and barely was 18 years ago.

100 Girls tells the story of Matthew, a nerdy College student who has a sexual encounter in an elevator during a blackout and spends copious amounts of time trying to figure out her identity. What sets 100 Girls apart from other teen comedies is the dialogue- centric scenes which add a level of intelligence to the characters and also help move the story along. However, this also proves to be disadvantageous, as the film's characters fit every conceivable stereotype. Matt is the awkward nerd. His roommate Rod is a misogynistic dimwit who spends hours putting weights on his penis whilst degrading and depersonalizing women. Matt enlists the help of former high school acquaintance Wendy, the stereotypical cute girl next door. His and Rod's Women's Studies professor, Ms. Stern is hairy-arm-pitted man-hater. Patty is the hyper-sexual slut and her boyfriend Crick, the hyper- masculine sexual abuser. Dora is the "ugly" girl unaware of her beauty. Other characters include Cynthia, the blonde knockout and Arlene, the competitive "tomboy". Matt later attempts to dress in drag as Francesca and discovers that as such, he is able to communicate more effectively with women. This, in turn, bolsters his confidence and culminates in a speech in front of the girls dorm, where he realizes he can have any girl he wants. In summary, while this film tries to pass itself off as a critique of gender relations, it is in actuality a slightly more intelligent variant of the sex romp. If you enjoy unconventionality, this film is worth a watch.

Well, I guess we all thought it was gonna be an American Pie part II, with the same old sex jokes and the never ending paranoia about hot girls. "100 Girls" is away from this kind of movie. Matthew is an apparently insecure guy that is looking for the girl of his dreams. He isn't able to find her, but at least he spends time meeting other girls. Nothing that he does is particularly interesting, actually it's a shame the film is so out of action. However, in many scenes we have interesting thoughts involving men/women, sexism and life. The classroom scenes with that feminist teacher is really wise and funny, I know many girls who think like that-- I'm a guy and I also agree with some of those ideas. The film just isn't better because of its lack of 'action' scenes, which made it look too light for the audience it's been made for. In fact, I believe this film works better with late teens and young adults than with real teens.

I really enjoyed watching this movie for several reasons.Firstly, (and let's get this out of the way right now) it was written by the same person that gave us "Eight Days a Week," another narrative classic which gives guys like me hope.Second, it delves into not only the male frame of mind, but also takes us into the other side of the spectrum and shows us how women think about men. This time around, we have a different character: Matthew, who, during a blackout on a college campus, has a sexual encounter with an unknown girl in an elevator. Unfortunately, when he comes to in the elevator, the only thing that can connect him to said unknown girl is her panties.Just like "Eight Days a Week," Matthew also has a friend with an absurd quirk. (Think Peter's friend with an even more disgusting prop.) I've noticed in these movies that the narrator has such vivid descriptions of their objectives or possible threats... it's like there's something even I could stand to brush up on.Finally, I love how it all ties together. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, so I'll just leave you all with this: anyone who sees Michael Davis movies will become obsessed with Michael Davis.10/10
