I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Good movie but grossly overrated
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
So we have Badrinath Bansal ( Another name for Lord Ram) upholder of the patriarchal society norms - good son, good brother and follows his father words. His girlfriend Vaidehi ( Sita 's another name) dumps him because she cannot lives in a rigid society where women are not respected and are valued over dowry they bring. Watch how Badri fights his inner daemons and society wins Vadidehi. He is supported by brother and his sis in law Urmlia Shukla ( Lakshaman wife).I am going with 8/10 because it had 1 song in 2nd half too many and climax was too filmy for me..
One of the worst movie I've ever seen. Forwarded through most of the movie, only to see the most clichéd romance, most clichéd patriarchy and most clichéd ending. Movie tries to give a good message (anti dowry and equality for women) by promoting other evils like stalking, wrongful confinement and insensitivity towards male sexual harassment.
Badrinath ki Dulhaniya is a watchable film. The story is interesting. The narrative is also about how women are regarded in general in the sub continent, and the message is in the way Alia and Badri deal with this.Alia and Varun do justice to their roles and you cant help feeling how sweet they both come across as!This film would have been a lot better without the music - not particularly melodious - and could have been shorter.Nice overall, but certainly not brilliant. Oh ... and a lot better than the never ending Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
one of the most non-sense movie ever made. always felt diverted from the main story line (which obviously was not present). felt more like an advertisement of KOTA city and SILK AIR coaching institute. characters were vary off the theme and were just pushing around for screen space. poor direction and screenplay.
