The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Say what you might but this movie did nothing for me. Maybe even was a tad bit boring. I was waiting for that wow moment the whole time but nothing happened. Deeply disappointed.

Awh, this film is cute, you know. I wouldn't say it's amazing but for what it is, it's entertaining, I cared about the characters and I got frustrated when the plot didn't go the way I wanted it to. I wanna give this a rewatch now I know the plot so I can appreciate the other things which I don't think I did enough of i.e. music, side characters, acting etc. I was just in the mood to watch an old-school romance and that's what I got. The boombox scene (which is all I knew about this movie) wasn't as WHOAH as I expected but maybe that's what's so great about it, is that it wasn't a big overblown plot point but it still has a place in lots of audiences hearts. I think this could be a regular go-to film for me. John Cusack is a little cutie and his hopeless romantic character is a believable and real performance. As is Diane Court who's family struggles bring an unexpected struggle to the couple. The ending is so heart-warming and leaves you wanting a little bit more but that's what you want from a film. You're put in the characters shoes. You're happy and got what you want with the couple but you have no idea what's round the corner, just hope and love.

Say Anything... follows the story of Lloyd, an eternal optimist who seeks to capture the heart of Diane, an unattainable high-school beauty and straight-A student. It surprises just about everyone when she returns the same sentiment. But Diane's overly possessive, divorced father doesn't approve and it will take more than the power of love to conquer all. The charm, the desire that brought this charming film to life is to hard to believe, the romance that is brought on to the screen is unlike no other romantic film. It's full of wonder and belief that bring these two teens that attract one another that bring you to understand that they won't abandon their love for each other even If it kills them. What this film gave to us is a certain spark that no other ordinary romance film hasn't gave us before, a unpredictable kind of approach to its story, you don't really know what to anticipate to each scene handed to you in your first viewing. The characters brought on upon John Cusack and Ione Skye (Lloyd & Diane) at the ritual ages of 22 & 18 gives you a sense of wonderment that gave these youngsters with such a sense of accomplishment to their acting capabilities and give us a straight forward way to render in such characters as the ones they were approached too. Predictable requirements you are trying harbor into this film is brought up so wrong because you are shown with surplus storytelling with no cliché's in sight, the story gives you encouragement to root for the main characters of Lloyd and Diane because you just know these two are mean't for one another and you don't want them to see them give up. The witty and sharp dialogue for each character is done so proper to fit them with such whimsical attributes that make each and every one of them carefree or unpleasant. The love story that is brought along in this is not your usual kind of romance, the love is brought on with such realism that can relate, it does have its moments with things that couples would do but that's fine because Cameron Crowe brought you feelings to such dubious storytelling. This directional debut of Crowe really gave us a lot to live up too!

"Say Anything..." is a teen romantic comedy-drama that follows the relationship between Lloyd Dobler,an average student, and Diane Court, the class valedictorian, after their graduation from high school. It stars John Cusack and Ione Skye together with John Mahoney,Lily Taylor and Joan Cusack. This serves as the directorial debut of Cameron Crowe, who also wrote the film's screenplay. The story was set in Seattle,Washington. Lloyd Dobler, an average student and aspiring kickboxer, who attempts a relationship with the lovely valedictorian Diane Court immediately after their graduation from the same high school. Intrigued by Lloyd's endearing manner and willingness to take a chance at someone, they began seeing each other regularly. But when the father interfered, they have to end their relationship. In the end,Diane began to realize that there is just more to life than just good grades and perfection. This is definitely one of the best high school films ever released.Cameron Crowe definitely made a classic film that remains memorable after it has been released more than 25 years ago.The jokes maybe dated and the story of two different people falling in love maybe old-fashioned,the leads - Cusack and Skye - have authentic feelings and emotions that they become more than just stereotypes that viewers normally see just any other movie.Aside from well-developed characters,we also get to witness two great young thespians that exhibited real and authentic feelings.
