It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

Once you start watching this film you have to see it through to the end. It draws you in with a very strange tale which twists and turns and keeps you routed to the screen. The acting from the 3 main characters is superb. Emily Blunt's performance is absolutely stunning as the suspected source of Susan Sarandon's character's concerns and Sam Neill's character's attention. No spoilers!Watch and see. My ideal rating would be 6.5/10

Now Susan Sarandon, Sam Neil, and even Elily Blunt are all good actors so they keep you watching this lame obvious and derivative wooden would be thriller which all to soon leads up to dead end streets. The best i can say for this movie is that at no point was the boredom so great that there was a risk i would press the stop play button, but in the final revelation and explanation i thought well that was 103 minutes i will never get back. Now another grip this must be the most American Australian movie ever! - Come on Australia be Australian!

Sensitive artist Sophie is having a tough time getting over the loss of her mother. When things start happening, it appears she maybe targeted by her husband's dishy new colleague Mara who has her eyes on hubbie. Or could she be imagining it? So that's it - is she paranoid because she's going crackers, or because she has a reason to be paranoid? This basic notion has served many films very well, and Susan Sarandon and Sam Neill are pros. But there are two fatal flaws here. One, this film is slow, boring and dull. And, two, it is saddled with a preposterous and unnecessary twist in the tail. Emily Blunt (Mara), not one of my favourites, has been better in subsequent films.Watch it if there is nothing else on, but don't be surprised if you nod off.

If this movie would have been made 20-30 years ago, it would probably have been received pretty well.Problem is, this is 2010 and for the last 20 years, the Americans have been spitting out these classic thrillers with such haste that the development of new ideas can't seem to keep up. This movie is Australian, but that's no excuse to copy a bad Hollywood trend - especially not when you've convinced otherwise solid actors to participate.Everything in this production screams a lack of originality. The beginning with Sophie being a bit off is the only part, which is a bit interesting until 15mins in, the movie turns into the exact same thriller we've seen before. I would have mentioned a bunch of examples, but they slip out of my mind as soon as I leave the cinema or stop the DVD player.Alright for a TV-thriller and halfway entertaining if nothing else is on and the internet is dead, but absolutely not good enough for a DVD/cinema release.
