Yes, it's *another* romantic comedy. And yes, there's nothing very original or groundbreaking here. But once you know what you're getting into, this is a really enjoyable watch with lots of funny moments. Perhaps it's just because the French style makes it feel a little different from the jaded American/British 'rom com' genre. Or perhaps the credit should go to the leads, Romain Duris and Vanessa Paradis, who were both great. Who'd have thought Paradis would pop up in this of all places. The movie for me was let down only by the ending, which was entirely predictable, but I still laughed along all the way! Recommended light viewing.

This film has it all. Stunning locations, gorgeous actors, fun story and lots of action. It's a combination of Hitchcock and Sturgis. It's a homage to Hollywood's Golden Age. Hepburn and Grant would have played the parts. Or Lombard and Gable. The story is absurd, but who cares. The two leads are so incredibly beautiful, so much fun to watch together that the story spins along its merry way and you don't think twice about it. Supporting cast is also wonderful. But the real star of this picture is Monaco. Not since Grace Kelly got married has the kingdom looked so pristine, so jewel-like. Only the French could have produced such a soufflé of delight as this film.

Why did I rate this a 9. Because this movie sort of finds the line between romance and comedy. It does not try to make a statement or deliver cheap laughs. The movie is beautiful and classy (beautiful like Mr Beans holiday). The scenery is good enough so you can just stare at the background with awe(I once did) and well I don't want to give away anything so go see the movie it is beautiful. They mix music with the scenes very very well The main actress is beautiful I mean the persona not just looks you can stare at her if you don't like the countryside :)(little bit of clementine effect in ESOTSM if you know what I mean) Also there are no plot holes "where it matters". The problem with watching these is that you find it hard to watch a Hollywood movie later because they sort of rush somethings.Much much better than most of the Hollywood rom coms that came in recent times and pretty much entertainning

Suppose your best friend is about to marry the wrong guy, but she has convinced herself that she's happy with him. What can you do? Call the Heartbreakers, a company in the business of seduction, the best when it comes to breaking up ill-fitting relationships. The Heartbreaker team is comprised of master seducer Alex, his sister, and her husband; and together, the quirky trio spies on their subject, finds the flaws in the relationship, and develops an elaborate sabotage plan. This time the assignment is Juliette, the confident daughter of an overprotective French millionaire. Juliette, played by Vanessa Paradis (Mrs. Johnny Deep), is about to marry a rich, kind, and handsome Brit; and the Heartbreakers have only a few days to convince the strong-willed Juliette to break the engagement.Filmed against the backdrop of the French Riviera, the cinematography is a delicious treat, but the ingenious script and the spirited performances are the two winning elements of the movie. The script is a smart hybrid between a romantic comedy and a light spy thriller, and it will have you laughing out loud from beginning to end. And while the finale is somewhat predictable, the twists in the plot will have you wondering how it's all going to unravel. As far as performances, the suave Duris is superb as he charms the ladies, and he and Paradis show a decent amount of chemistry on screen. The supporting cast is also brilliant, especially Julie Ferrier (who plays Alex's sister) and François Damiens (Alex's brother-in-law).Don't wait for the American remake; watch this original version, because--like its hero--is stylish, clever, and simply hard-to-resist! It's everything a romantic comedy should be; truly satisfying!
