As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

A bit annoyingly white washy but the story actually made a lot of sense. It holds together well. Because something similar actually happened in the USA, on the natives, which is the object of another film I've seen. The film get its stride after they catch up with the start event. It continues until the end. Good cinema not too Hollywoodian. Very credible story that John Le Carré cooked up is less outrageous than the truth, according to him, and I believe it.

"There They Go Again". Those Left-Wing Anti-Capitalist, Attacking Big-Pharma, using Film as Propaganda to Support Their Socialistic Agenda. Hollywood, those Far-Left Zealots are once more Pulling at the Threads of the Free Market Fabric. (Right-Wing Talking Points)Of course these Drug Companies Experiment in Impoverished Nations, Fudging and Covering Up Damaging Results and Inconclusive Findings so it is Not Necessary for the Company to..."Go back to the beginning, more years of study, millions of dollars lost...We're not killing people who aren't already dead", says a Government Go-Conspirator.John Le Carre based His Book on Real Life Events He Uncovered concerning the Pharmaceutical Company "Pfizer". So there exists Documentation of the Type of Thing found in this "Left-Wing Propaganda". But that should come as No Surprise. As a Species We Excel at Apathy and Justification using Guilt-Cleansing Phrases like... "For the Good of the many and It's not Personal its only Business and What can I do when so Many Need so Much". The Director Decided, some Say Unadvisedly to make this Movie in the Modern Shaky Camera, Hyper-Edited Style that is so Popular. It's a Low-Budget Gimmick to Hide Lack of Imagination. Don't let that Camera Linger too Long, Someone might See the Nakedness. But, Despite this wannabe Hipness, the Movie's Message Emerges and Remains. The Good Cast Succeeds in Keeping up with those Mechanistic Pretensions. Because the Actors are Talented and the Story and Script are so Emotional that no amount of Swirling Camera, Ultra Close-Ups, and Frenetic Editing can Detour from the Inconvenient Truths.

This honestly was a terrible movie I'm a big movie guy so I go to Salvation Army or Goodwill and buy movies buy the box load n what I like I keep and what I don't I return and this is definitely going back. It starts off with a teacher dating (n later marrying) one of his students and she's like a real big "left wing" liberal "save the people" type and they end up in Africa and she dies, but the story goes like backwards from before she dies and the whole time she's with this black African that I never could tell if she was "with", while she's married. I couldn't even sit and watch the whole movie the plot was Absolutely terrible, I shut it off half way through the only thing I give it is it's got the visual and audio techniques of a big budget film, but as far as the story goes; terrible. The cover of the DVD box way exaggerated the film. Save yourself the time.

Based on the John le Carré novel of the same name, 'The Constant Gardener' is A Well-Acted Dramatic-Thriller! Its also impressively paced, nicely written & decently directed. Overall, A Winner!'The Constant Gardener' Synopsis: A widower is determined to get to the bottom of a potentially explosive secret involving his wife's murder, big business, and corporate corruption.'The Constant Gardener', despite its undeniable potential, lacks a nail-biting Screenplay. Jeffrey Caine's Adapted Screenplay is certainly good, but the thrills are missing. Though the story progresses on an impressive pace, the thrilling moments are lacking here. Fernando Meirelles's Direction is decent. Cinematography is fabulous. Editing is fairly edgy. Performance-Wise: Ralph Fiennes is top-notch, as always. Rachel Weisz, in an Oscar-Winning Performance, lends remarkable support. Danny Huston is in true form, as well. Bill Nighy is effortlessly evil, while the Late/Great Pete Postlethwaite is fantastic in a brief role. On the whole, 'The Constant Gardener' is far from perfect, but its well-made & well-acted nevertheless.
