A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

A beautiful film. adaptation for a great book. inspired performances, touching music, wise use of sensibility. short, a film who propose the open gate to a magnificent universe, a secret and a not usual love story. sure, it is not perfect. but it is one of films giving, after years, the flavor of novel. its delicate traits and atmosphere and magic and the circles of modern fairy tale. and that is more than a good point. or a virtue. it represents the fair gift for each viewer and reader of the book.

This movie is absolutely, 100%, completely one of THE BEST movies I've ever seen in my 13 years of movie-watching. Tuck Everlasting, with it's loving, yet suspenseful storyline is the best movie and book I've seen and read in a long time. The book was really good, and the movie, thankfully, stayed really close to it. I love that Jonathan Jackson was cast as Jesse. THe book I read had the movie poster (minus the credits and release date and that movie poster crap) on it, and the minutes I learned that the hot guy on the cover was Jesse, I fell head over heels in love. I also love the monologue Miles has around the campfire. It just made me so sad, I felt like crying along with Winne, and wish I had a Jesse there to comfort me like she did. And the ending, where Jesse finds Winnie's grave, I really DID cry!Anyway, I would recommend this movie to anyone who asks me for a good one, cause this is is all that and a music box! (Was that a little cheesy? Probably.)

Romance, especially in Nicholas Spark's case, is usually cheesy nowadays. Rarely, a romance is nominated for best movie of the year. And when it is, you understand why. Films like Atonement and An education are a good example of that. But sometimes there are some that are sappy but you enjoy. Tuck everlasting is a good example. It's sappy, and ridiculous, but it doesn't matter. You leave illogic at the door, and you enjoy.Alexis Bledel plays Winnie Foster, a girl, living back in the old times, who has just moved to some town, I don't know where. One day when she's walking in the woods, she meets a stranger named Jesse Tuck(Johnathon Jackson), who tells her to go away. Soon after, she is captured and taken away by Jesse's brother. She is missing, and her parents are looking for her. They aren't the only ones. There is a stranger(Ben Kingsley) who is looking for her and The Tucks, because he knows about their secret(which I won't give away). Winnie is living with The Tucks,in hiding, and soon falls for Jesse, and soon finds out their secret. The movie is very cheesy. When you hear Jesse say" I'll love you til the day I die", you may not be able to help but roll your eyes. The movie is sappy, but it's cute. The plot obviously isn't feasible, but the movie is adorable, and entertaining. The two leads evoke charm. I preferred it over movies like The Notebook, or anything Nicholas Sparks for that matter. Those movies are too cheesy. This movie still has flaws, but I liked it. So, it's worth seeing if you haven't already.3/4

This is (again) a remake of an "old" film in 1981. The film quite successfully delivers the peace and tranquility that only exist in eternity. The tune from the musical box plays a vital role of linking the whole film. Beautiful cinematography, simple but solid storyline with philosophical narratives about life and death (e.g. Angus Tuck: "Don't be afraid of death, Winnie. Be afraid of the unlived life").However, some shoots are inconsistent. One apparent goof is when the Tuck brothers went to the police station to save their parents. Firstly Jesse Tuck was shown standing on the left hand side of Miles Tuck, but when the police came out of the station and shot them, the revived Jesse Tuck was found on the right hand side of Miles Tuck.
