You won't be disappointed!
A waste of 90 minutes of my life
I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
The acting in this movie is really good.
Interesting, well acted, different, classy, dark, shall I go on? It's not a master piece but 90 minutes we'll spent. All 4 main characters are interesting and extremely well played. How anyone could score it 1/10 is beyond me
I could only see what this movie was trying to be, not what it was. A mix of Jim Jarmusch circa Mystery Train, mixed with David Lynch circa Wild at Heart, mixed with Chungking Express, mixed with Delicatessen. What did it lack?: A decent soundtrack (the hallmark of any great movie), truly beguiling, cool, mysterious characters (this ensemble is cut from different cloth), trite uninteresting cinematography (filming the same set with the camera 30 degrees sideways and boring lighting isn't good enough on its own), weak narrative to make up for other failings - you might say Mystery Train had little narrative - but it was totally cool, the real deal. So the overall atmosphere is stagey, no sense of expanse, limited sets, overacted in voice and expression as if broadcasting to a live audience. I found myself looking away at the cringeworthy performances, as if it would embarrass the actors if they knew I'd seen it - I don't blame them completely, any actor can be made to look bad after a poor edit of insufficient material: but they all look and sound pretty stupid. Maybe I'm old, but I've seen better, original cool; this ain't it.
Cast was excellent . Mike Myers playing a rare character and was a pleasing dramatic stretch for him.Pay attention because a lot is going on..I took one star off for the use of rimless ammunition in a revolver with no clips..
Extremely stylish. Pays homage to Tarantino and noir films. I agree with other viewers that the plot is a bit messy, but I personally feel that, if not taken too seriously, Terminal is a really enjoyable film. I loved it.
